Entry-Level Electrical Engineer

The EV Charging Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of electric vehicle charging stations and associated electrical infrastructure across multiple depot locations. This role combines hands-on technical work with preventive maintenance planning and documentation. You will be required to perform daily visits to charging stations across our depot network to ensure proper functionality, conduct basic maintenance checks and cleaning of EV charging equipment, and monitor and record key electrical parameters using testing equipment. It is essential to report any abnormalities or malfunctions to senior technical staff and maintain detailed logs of daily inspections and maintenance activities. Additionally, you will assist in basic troubleshooting of charging equipment issues. The ideal candidate should possess a qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, a basic understanding of electrical systems and safety, strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities, and willingness to learn and develop technical skills. In terms of technical skills, you should have a basic knowledge of electrical testing equipment, the ability to read and understand technical manuals, familiarity with computer systems and mobile apps, and a basic understanding of electrical safety procedures. This is a full-time position with regular working hours and daily site visits. However, there may be occasions when flexible hours are required based on operational needs. Safety is paramount in this role, and you must adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, possess basic electrical safety awareness, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
