Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Review clinical documentation for outpatient encounters and assign appropriate
E/M levels
.
Apply correct
ICD-10
,
CPT
, and
HCPCS
codes based on CMS, payer, and official coding guidelines.
Ensure compliance with
HIPAA
,
CMS
, and organizational coding standards.
Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks (typically 95%+ accuracy).
Use tools like
EMRs/EHRs
(Epic, Cerner, Athena, etc.) and
coding platforms
(3M, EncoderPro, etc.).
Collaborate with QA teams, providers, and other departments for coding clarifications.
Stay up to date with changes in coding policies and payer regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:
Graduate in Life Sciences / Paramedical / Allied Health preferred.
Certifications:
Mandatory:
CPC, COC, or CCS (from AAPC or AHIMA)
Preferred:
Specialty certification in E/M or Outpatient Coding (if available)
Experience:
13 years of experience in
E/M outpatient coding

Freshers with valid CPC certification may be considered for trainee roles.
