Position Title: Engineer/ Asst. Manager/ Manager/Sr. Manager / AGM - Electrical Maintenance (Stainless steel Wire Division)

Location: Boisar

Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Experience : Min. 5 Years of relevant experience in stainless steel wire manufacturing.

Job Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for managing the electrical maintenance activities across the manufacturing plant, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of all electrical systems and equipment. The role demands leadership in preventive and predictive maintenance, energy management, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preventive Maintenance Leadership

• Lead all aspects of electrical maintenance, including HT/LT systems, control panels, wire drawing machines, annealing furnaces, pickling lines, and associated utilities.
• Develop, implement, and optimize a structured Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program for all electrical systems and machinery across the plant.
• Maintain and monitor PM schedules for wire drawing machines, annealing furnaces, pickling lines, HT/LT power systems, and automation panels.
• Analyze recurring issues and implement permanent corrective actions (RCAs).
• Plan and execute electrical maintenance projects such as machine installations, line expansions, automation upgrades, and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and internal departments for timely execution
• Monitor and manage electrical utilities power factor, demand control, and energy distribution.

2. Equipment & Systems Management

• Oversee the maintenance of all electrical installations including VFDs, PLCs, SCADA, HMI panels, transformers, DG sets, motors, and control panels.
• Ensure safe and efficient functioning of electrical infrastructure including substations, MCCs, and lighting systems.

3. Team Management

• Supervise and mentor a team of electrical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Monitor team performance, skill development, and training needs.
• Ensure round-the-clock support for production-critical equipment.

4. Safety, Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory norms (CEA, ISO, IE Rules).
• Conduct internal electrical audits and inspections.
• Maintain updated records of maintenance schedules, SOPs, checklists, and breakdown logs.

5. Energy & Cost Management

• Monitor and analyze power consumption trends; implement cost-saving measures.
• Promote and integrate energy-efficient practices across the facility.

6. Energy Efficiency & Cost Optimization

• Drive energy-saving initiatives through process optimization and automation.
• Reduce maintenance costs through spares standardization, root cause analysis, and predictive tools.

Key Skills & Technical Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems used in stainless steel wire manufacturing.
• Proven experience in preventive maintenance, reliability engineering, and asset care.
• Strong expertise in VFDs, PLCs, SCADA, HMI systems, HT/LT switchgear, motors, and power distribution.
• Hands-on experience with wire drawing, annealing, pickling, coiling, and spooling machines.
• Familiarity with safety systems, arc flash studies, and load management systems.
• Proven team leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
