Job Summary: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Primary English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching English to young learners, with a strong understanding of language development, literacy skills, and fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment. This role is critical in shaping students' language skills and helping them develop a love for reading, writing, and communication. Key Responsibilities: Instruction & Curriculum Delivery: Teach English language and literacy skills to primary school students, in alignment with the curriculum. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate diverse teaching methods and cater to various learning styles. Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, ensuring students develop proficiency in all aspects of language. Assessment & Feedback: Conduct regular assessments to track student progress and identify areas for improvement. Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage their growth and development in English. Maintain accurate records of students' performance and progress. Classroom Management: Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Manage classroom behaviour effectively and foster a positive atmosphere for learning. Support students in developing social and communication skills. Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers to integrate cross-curricular learning opportunities. Collaborate with parents to share student progress and address any concerns. Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions. Extracurricular Activities: Organize and participate in school activities related to English, such as book clubs, writing competitions, or drama performances. Encourage students to explore their creativity and develop a passion for reading and writing outside of the classroom. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (required). Teaching certification or license in Primary Education (preferred). Experience : Previous teaching experience in a primary school setting, particularly in English or language arts (preferred). Experience in differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Skills & Competencies : Strong communication skills (both oral and written). Excellent classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment. Proficient in using technology to support learning. Passionate about fostering a love of language and literature in students. Personal Attributes: Enthusiastic, patient, and empathetic. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
