Reports to: Academic Coordinator / Principal

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Teacher for Classes 3 to 6 who can deliver high-quality instruction in English aligned with the CBSE and Cambridge IGCSE frameworks. The teacher will foster language development, critical thinking, and a love for literature, reading, and writing in young learners.

Key Responsibilities:1. Curriculum Planning & Delivery

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons as per CBSE and Cambridge IGCSE learning objectives.
  • Integrate reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary skills into daily lessons.
  • Use age-appropriate pedagogical strategies that promote creativity, comprehension, and communication.

2. Differentiated & Inclusive Learning

  • Modify teaching methods to accommodate students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Encourage student participation through interactive and inclusive classroom practices.

3. Assessment & Evaluation

  • Design and conduct formative and summative assessments aligned with both curricula.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Prepare students for internal exams and, if applicable, external assessments as per IGCSE standards.

4. Resource & Material Development

  • Develop creative and effective teaching resources, worksheets, and visual aids.
  • Incorporate digital tools, educational software, and online platforms into lessons where appropriate.

5. Classroom Management

  • Establish a safe, disciplined, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Manage student behavior in line with the school’s behavior policy.

6. Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Work collaboratively with other teachers to integrate cross-curricular learning where applicable.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, curriculum development, and school events.

7. Communication & Reporting

  • Communicate effectively with parents through meetings, reports, and informal interactions.
  • Maintain regular communication with academic coordinators regarding student performance and curriculum implementation.

8. Enrichment & Co-curricular Activities

  • Organize and support English language-related co-curricular activities such as debates, spelling bees, storytelling, dramatics, and creative writing competitions.
  • Encourage students to participate in national and international English Olympiads or contests.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English or Education (Master’s preferred).
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the primary/middle level in CBSE and/or Cambridge IGCSE settings.
  • Strong command of English language (spoken and written).
  • Familiarity with both curricula and 21st-century teaching strategies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
