Engineering Manager Web Department

As an Engineering Manager at VT Netzwelt Pvt. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in leading the Web Team to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable web solutions for global clients. Your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end web application development, mentoring engineers, enforcing coding standards, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure project success. Key Responsibilities: - Lead day-to-day engineering operations of the Web Department, focusing on delivering high-quality web solutions. - Collaborate with the Delivery team to ensure timely and efficient execution of web projects. - Mentor and guide engineers at various experience levels, supporting their career growth and skill development. - Drive the adoption of best coding practices, conduct peer code reviews, and implement modern DevOps principles. - Stay updated on AI-assisted development practices and tools to enhance developer productivity and code quality. - Develop scalable distributed systems using diverse architectural paradigms such as Serverless, Microservices, and Hybrid architectures. - Foster a tech-forward mindset by championing experimentation, keeping up with emerging trends, and leading the adoption of modern frameworks and architectures. - Participate in planning and estimation exercises, ensuring alignment of effort with technical complexity. - Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure optimal system design and architecture. - Monitor key engineering metrics to drive continuous improvement in quality, velocity, and bug density. Preferred Background & Experience: - 10 years of web development experience with at least 3 years in a team lead or engineering management role. - Strong technical foundation in JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, NestJS, or similar web technologies. - Proven experience in architecting and delivering modern, scalable web applications. - Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is advantageous. - Experience managing or collaborating with cross-functional teams including Mobile, QA, and DevOps. - Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
