Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager will oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams (Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil/Structural, E&I) to ensure successful project execution in oil & gas design and detailed engineering. The role involves technical leadership, bid support,project planning, cost control, and ensuring compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.).

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Engineering Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams (Process, Mechanical, Piping,

Civil/Structural, E&I) for oil & gas projects (onshore/offshore).

• Ensure seamless collaboration between engineering disciplines to meet project deliverables.

• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ISO, ANSI, and other relevant codes & client standards.

2. Bid & Proposal Support:

• Provide technical inputs for bids, FEED studies, and proposals.

• Review client RFQs, prepare technical clarifications, and support commercial teams in cost

estimation.

• Define engineering scope, man-hour estimates, and execution strategies for proposals.

3. Project Planning & Execution:

• Develop and monitor engineering schedules, resource allocation, and deliverables.

• Ensure adherence to project milestones, budgets, and quality standards.

• Conduct design reviews, HAZOP, SIL, and other safety/risk assessments.

• Interface with clients, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues.

4. Cost Control & Budget Management:

• Monitor engineering man-hours, costs, and productivity.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.

• Report on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management.

5. Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet QA/QC standards and client requirements.

• Implement best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.

Technical Expertise:

• 15+ years in oil & gas design & detailed engineering, with 5+ years in a managerial role.

• Strong expertise in ASME B31.3, API 650/620, ANSI, ISO, and other industry codes.

• Proven experience in EPC/EPCM projects, including FEED, detailed engineering, and

construction support. Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, PDMS/E3D, SP3D, etc.).

• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.

• BE/B Tech/ M Tech in Mechanical/Chemical / Process Engineering

or related field. or a related field (or equivalent)

• Experience in modular skids & packages Industry.

• Familiar with EPC workflows and Oil & Gas plant design lifecycle

• Ability to mentor junior designers and review drawings for accuracy and compliance.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills
