Engineering Lead Kotlin & Java

You will be working as a Lead Software Engineer specializing in Kotlin and Java for a full-time position in Thiruvananthapuram, India. Your primary role will involve designing, developing, and guiding complex backend and microservices projects. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership to engineering teams, ensure code quality, and drive delivery across the full software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include leading the design, development, and delivery of backend services and microservices using Kotlin and Java. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical standards, mentor and guide junior engineers, conduct regular code reviews, and provide technical direction. Interfacing with customers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure robust technical solutions will also be part of your role. You will oversee project schedules, ensure timely completion of deliverables, maintain high code quality, proper documentation, and adherence to engineering processes. Identifying and resolving technical issues proactively to minimize defects and maximize customer satisfaction will be essential. The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of strong professional experience in Kotlin and Java backend development, proven experience in leading software engineering teams or technical initiatives, expertise in designing scalable microservices and backend architectures, a solid understanding of the software development life cycle, coding standards, and Agile practices. Strong problem-solving abilities, experience with major databases and cloud platforms, as well as excellent team communication and leadership skills are must-have skills for this role.,
