Engineering Head - API

You will be responsible for leading, planning, and directing all engineering activities within the API plant organization located in Panoli (Vadodara). Your primary goal is to ensure that all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes align with the organization's established policies and objectives. Your duties and responsibilities will include conducting thorough reviews of the team and portfolio, offering guidance and direction to enhance team competence, monitoring the operation and maintenance of utility and services such as water, air, steam, nitrogen, refrigeration, and HVAC systems in the plant. Additionally, you will oversee equipment maintenance, modifications, civil and building management activities, and ensure the availability of electrical systems, including DG power and transformers. It will be essential for you to oversee sterile plant process equipment maintenance, compliance with regulations related to boiler, factory, electrical systems, and other engineering-related compliance standards. You will also need to ensure adherence to CGMP compliance for audit participation, energy conservation, cost reduction initiatives, safety compliance within the engineering team, and preparation of annual budgets (CAPEX/OPEX). Your role will encompass overall engineering activities, including mechanical maintenance of the plant, utility operation, electrical systems, instrumentation, quality engineering, execution of capital expenditures, and plant modification. The API plant consists of 14 production modules with a total of 400 reactors and a combined capacity of 1000 KL. To qualify for this position, you must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems would be advantageous. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 20 years of experience, with at least 10 years in the API industry. Exposure to energy conservation practices is also desirable.
