Engineering Data Manager

As an Engineering Data Manager in the global Engineering Planning and Reporting team at Siemens Energy, your responsibilities will involve designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure for the Engineering organization. You will collaborate with data and process owners to optimize data extraction, transformation, and analysis, as well as enhance data services with automated routines for reporting purposes. Additionally, you will support project execution teams in data transportation between systems, implement data governance practices, maintain documentation, and continuously enhance the user experience. Your typical day may include participating in team meetings, liaising with colleagues to understand requirements, developing new Power BI reports, creating data exchange endpoints, and improving reporting services. This role plays a significant part in meeting the digitalization demands of Compression Engineering and Product Management. To excel in this role, you are required to have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, along with over 10 years of experience in business intelligence, data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes. You should possess demonstrable expertise as a Power BI Developer, solid knowledge of UI/UX principles, and effective problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, software such as Jira, and Engineering processes and systems like SAP and Teamcenter would be advantageous.
