ENGINEER - VENDOR DEVELOPMENT

As a Vendor Development professional, your role will involve ensuring the cost, quality, and timely delivery of all subcontracted components and components produced on a job work basis. You will be responsible for the safe and secure movement of controlled copies of drawings for subcontracted and job work components. Additionally, your tasks will include calculating the engineering cost of components, negotiating with vendors, handling commercial aspects of purchases, and managing job work activities. You will be required to issue purchase orders for subcontracted components and job work orders, ensuring that materials and drawings are provided. It is essential to maintain proper documentation, including delivery challans, invoices, excise forms, and GRN inspection reports. These documents must be thoroughly checked by the vendor development department and forwarded to the relevant departments. A crucial aspect of your role will be updating the Head of Department with a daily shortage list. You will need to update the shortage list against Goods Receipt Notes for all incoming materials received from vendors and job works. Additionally, you will be responsible for periodically maintaining ISO documents and keeping a register of rejected materials received from the Quality Assurance department. You will also be involved in inspecting materials and notifying the Quality Assurance department via email. Furthermore, you will prepare a list of spare parts stock maintenance orders and issue them to the relevant vendors. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. The key skills required for this role include expertise in subcontracting and costing.
