Engineer Trainee

Role & responsibilities

1. Assist in electrical and instrumentation project work, including repair, calibration, and troubleshooting tasks.

2. Support senior employees by providing necessary tools, equipment, and materials, and ensure proper cleanup and return of surplus items after task completion.

3. Perform basic dismantling and assembly work, including bolting/unbolting, connecting, and disconnecting components.

4. Operate hand tools, power tools, meters, test equipment, hoists, drill presses, grinders, and other tools related to electrical and instrumentation tasks.

5. Take part in training activities to gain competencies in higher classification tasks while performing work appropriate to their current capabilities.

6. Collaborate with team members of various classifications to facilitate the completion of work assignments as directed.

7. Carry out duties in a responsible, cooperative manner to maintain a positive and efficient working environment.

8. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations related to electrical and plant operations.

9. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Preferred candidate profile

1. ITI in Electrician, Electronics

2. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, control equipment, and industrial instrumentation.

3. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

4. Understanding of safety regulations and procedures in industrial settings.

5. May be required to work weekends.
