Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Design and develop moulds and dies for rubber compression molding products, ensuring functionality and quality.
Modify existing tooling designs to accommodate new products and reduce die costs.
Study existing mould/die designs and propose suitable changes in product drawings to minimize new die/ modification costs.
Collaborate with the product design team to assess the feasibility of manufacturing new products.
Coordinate with the production team to gather feedback from initial production runs and implement necessary modifications.
Estimate die costs for new products to assist in budgeting and cost control.
Maintain accurate records of die components, assemblies, and modifications for effective inventory management.
Monitor die inventory levels and oversee maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness.
Ensure all design activities comply with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
