Engineer / Sr. Engineer - Civil

Job Summary:

The Senior Site Engineer (Civil) is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing all civil construction activities on the apartment construction site. This role ensures that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. The engineer also liaises with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to drive project progress.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Oversee day-to-day civil construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Supervise construction of foundations, RCC frames, block work, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works in apartment projects.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks as per project schedule
• Inspect materials, equipment, and work quality on-site regularly.

2. Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate with Project Manager, structural consultants, MEP engineers, architects, and vendors.
• Plan and allocate manpower, resources, and materials to meet daily and weekly construction targets.
• Raise material and resource requisitions in advance and follow up on delivery and stock status.

3. Quality Assurance

• Monitor and ensure high-quality construction and adherence to safety norms and QA/QC standards.
• Conduct quality checks and prepare inspection reports for critical activities (e.g., concrete pour, reinforcement, formwork).
• Address non-conformities and implement corrective/preventive actions.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain site records including daily progress reports (DPR), labor reports, inspection checklists, material logs, etc.
• Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
• Prepare bar bending schedules (BBS) and verify contractor bills and measurements.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all safety regulations and procedures are followed on site.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers.
• Liaise with safety officers and ensure proper PPE usage and accident reporting.
