Engineer/ Senior Engineer/AM/DM - Electrical

Responsibility:

1. Responsible to ensure safe evacuation of all the employees of the department and report the numbers during emergency.

2. Ensure adherence of basic safety requirements of various work permits by team members and seeks approval prior to work.

3. Train the team to recognize & identify potential hazards during critical maintenance work and ensures 100% adherence on shop floor.

4. Ensure compliance of LOTO and availability of adequate resources for the team by performing regular checks and site visits

5. Lead closer of all the safety observations & NVO observations, conduct the safety observations rounds and ensure to complete the observations

6. Ensure 100% adherence for JSA prior to Work

7. Ensure uninterrupted quality production by performing activities such as planning the electrical maintenance, attending to break downs related to machinery and equipment.

8. Monitor and maintains HT Switch yard, PCCs MCCs and DG power

9. Train subordinates and encourage team effort in work place for achievement of departmental and organizational goals

10. Plan manpower efficiently to optimize utilization skills and knowledge.

11. Comply requirements of Government bodies and external agencies and Electrical Inspector for additional power/ load or for attending any exigency

12. To follow safety norms and adhere with company policy.

13. To follow the Quality Policy & Contamination prevention policy of the company

14. Handle open access power purchase

15. Identify ways to reduce BM, promotes predictive maintenance approaches, keeps track of equipments health and prepares annual breakdown trend

16. Ensure reduction of breakdown rate by utilizing preventive maintenance approach and completion of PM activities in compliance with annual schedule

17. Improvise maintenance activities by introducing new technologies and improved tools.

18. Ensure availability of spares & critical parts

19. Plan and follow-ups details regarding the spare parts for all Plant, Machinery and Utility Equipment with concerned departments depending on the consumption

20. Lead the project work and performs modifications as per the requirement and ensures timely completion of same.

21. Identify new vendors and coordinates with SCM for timely delivery of inventory and materials.

22. Facilitate & Review daily meetings, implements Kaizen and 5S in work area.

23. Participate in CFT projects and draws insights to improve business results.

24. Review the identified root cause of a problem and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (Why-why, Kaizens) & Tracking the effectiveness.

25. Understand and Execute continuous improvement by implementing DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement and Control) method in solving the problems

26. Train teams on basic maintenance procedures and imparts tool box talks

27. Review all the Quality related documents, ISO and various statutory requirements related to electrical department

28. Plan resources while taking calculated risks to provide 24*7 engineering support & services needed for manufacturing

29. Solve engineering issues faster with minimum disruption of production time using science, technology, analytics and/or digital tools

30. Create processes & systems that yields repeated success with minimum room for errors

31. Demonstrate complete ownership of end-result of installation/ maintenance/ repair/ calibration, etc. of manufacturing systems

32. Prepare financial estimates for the maintenance & project activities and arrange for required equipment and spares.

33. Prepare electrical energy estimates for the company and plan & implement the required changes in the distribution network.

34. Guide the team in identifying the variables impacting the energy consumption, like specific Energy Usage (SEUs) in a process and their optimal usage so as to improve efficiency and reduce wastage.

35. Provide awareness of TFS “Together for Sustainability” requirements to the team.
