Engineer Reliability- Rotary

Preparing and ensuring compliance to the maintenance procedures, Preventive and Predictive maintenance schedules.

• Condition monitoring of rotating equipment, analysis and advice
• Assist plant maintenance in troubleshooting critical problems.
• Supervision of quality checks during overhauling of critical rotating equipment.
• Assistance/ Association in repair and refurbishment of rotating equipment/components.
• Perform Failure analysis and Root cause analysis (RCA) of repetitive failures
• Review and optimize maintenance tasksfrequencies.
• Applying the leanings from RCA to proactively increase the reliability of other assets.
• Ensure safe and trouble free start-up of critical rotating machines
• Provide technical support for critical and insurance spares reviews.
• Training faculty for in-house programs related to rotary equipment.
• Provide inputs for planning and scheduling of critical rotating equipment overhauling.
• Provide assistance for erection and commissioning of new equipment.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge on rotating equipment maintenance techniques and types
• Knowledge of Reliability principles (RCM/FMEA, Statistical tools) Knowledge of industry standards and codes (API, ASME, ISO etc.) Analytical ability Good interpersonal skills

Education Required

Bachelors or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering with good consistent academic records

Experience Require

• 7-8 years Refinery/Petrochemical/Chemical plant design/maintenance/operations experience is required with at least 3-5 year's experience in Rotating Equipment.
• Hands on experience in rotating equipment trouble shooting, maintenance and condition monitoring.
• Experience in Rotating equipment selection, erection and commissioning is preferred.

1. Participate in root cause analysis of various failures in fixed equipment, generate report and provide recommendations
2. Update corrosion manuals as applicable. Assist in developing RBI for the identified plants as per objective
3. Liaise with statutory authorities. Maintain all records supporting statutory compliance with respect to static equipment
4. Detailed Planning for Major Shutdown activities and execution of Major overhauls
5. Administer contracts as per work orders.
6. Evaluate QAP's for all sparesconsumables being procured as a part of the maintenance projects cell.

3. Ability to read and understand equipment engineering drawings, PFD's, P&ID's, piping Isometrics, Basic Knowledge of

(a) construction of fixed equipment

(b) common design codes and standards

(c) basic maintenance systems and practices of refinery/petrochemical units

(d) maintenance and repairs

(e) Basics of welding inspection

1. Basic understanding of operations of typical refinery/petrochemical/utilities.
2. Basic Knowledge of materials and metallurgy and its application to fixed equipment's of refinery/ petrochemical/utilities

Education Required

1. BE/ME in Mechanical engineering or Metallurgical engineering

Experience Required

1. Valid certification in ASNTISNT Level II in at least two techniques MPI UT RT
2. Around 6-7 years of working experience in a refinery petrochemical plants with at least 4-5 years managing the Reliability, Inspection and Corrosion monitoring of Fixed equipment
3. Exposure to working in MS office and other computerized systems
