Engineer - New Vendor Development

The job requires a candidate with a Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech - Mechanical qualification and 3 to 5 years of experience in the field. The location of the job is Savli Samlaya Road, Vadodara, with a salary range of 3.50 to 5.00 Lacks per annum. As a procurement specialist, your responsibilities will include identifying new suppliers for specific commodities such as standard BOC, machining, and consumable items. You will need to closely follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of BOPs as per sales planning requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing all documentation work and system tasks as per the given requirements. You will also be expected to provide support to the quality function for FAI approval at the vendor's end during the sample (initial) phase. Strong negotiation skills are essential to obtain the best possible costs from suppliers. Addressing and resolving commercial concerns and pain areas raised by commodity suppliers will be part of your role. The ideal candidate should possess a thorough knowledge of basic gauges and instruments used for measuring, experience in PO generation in ERP, and familiarity with different incoterms. Previous experience in commodities such as sheet metal, machining, and packing materials will be considered an added advantage. This is a full-time position with the possibility of being contractual or temporary. The benefits include Provident Fund, yearly bonus, and day shift/morning shift schedules.
