As an Engineer - Networks at Rockwell Automation, you will play a crucial role as the lead technical advisor for large-scale, multi-site global projects that aim to deploy network solutions. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the deployment and rollout of network infrastructure and security-related initiatives. The primary focus will be on promoting a Connected Enterprise by establishing connections for the Industrial Internet of Things at our main global customer facilities. You will be expected to have hands-on experience in assessing, designing, and implementing network infrastructure across various environments, including process automation, discrete controls, and automated manufacturing processes and equipment. Your expertise in designing and deploying network infrastructure, such as switches, routers, and firewalls, within an Industrial Network will be essential for the successful execution of projects. Additionally, a solid understanding of industry standards, including ISA, ANSI, NEMA, NERC, IDC, NEC, and NIST standards, will be advantageous, with a specific emphasis on NIST 800-82, NERC-CIP, and IEC-62443 standards. Your technical skills should encompass proficiency in PLC, Networking, and SCADA design/programming, including data extraction and analysis. You should also be well-versed in various Ethernet protocols, particularly EtherNet/IP, and possess the ability to handle multiple projects and interactions with diverse global teams, clients, and vendors. Familiarity with networking and security concepts, practices, and procedures, as well as experience in developing solutions in a virtual environment, will be beneficial for this role. In terms of qualifications, a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or a related technology-driven degree is required. Alternatively, candidates without a degree should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in Network Designing & Implementation Virtualization and Industrial Security Controls. A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience configuring IT/OT network infrastructure equipment, along with a deep understanding of Ethernet/IP and CIP protocol, is essential. Moreover, you should have prior experience working within a large, diverse global team on full project life-cycle implementations. The role may involve travel requirements of 50% to 60%, including both domestic and international trips. Legal authorization to work in the country of residence is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of experience in Industrial Networking, a recognized Network Certification (such as CCNA Industrial, CCNA/CCNP/CCIE Routing and Switching/Wireless, VCA, VCP, Cisco INS, GICSP), and a willingness to contribute as an individual contributor.
