Engineer-I CFD

As a CFD Engineer for an electric UAV logistics aircraft, your role will involve performing aerodynamics analysis, propeller performance evaluation, flight stability analysis, and supporting experiments. You will work closely with cross-functional design, FEA, and avionics team members. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct mid-fidelity and CFD analysis for aircraft and component aerodynamics, including lifting and control surfaces. - Analyze aircraft static and dynamic stability using mid-fidelity methods. - Perform transient CFD analysis of propeller performance and its interactions with aero-structural surfaces. - Engage in capability development activities to enhance existing analysis methods. - Provide support for ground test experiments of aerodynamic components and flight tests of UAV aircraft prototypes. Qualification & Skills: - MTech/MS in Aerospace Engineering from prestigious institutions like IIT, IISc, or equivalent. - 0-2 years of relevant work experience. Fresh MTech graduates from reputable institutes with relevant thesis project work will also be considered. - Proficiency in RANS/LES CFD meshing and analysis software such as Ansys Workbench, Ansys Fluent, and OpenFoam. - Experience with mid-fidelity aerodynamics analysis software utilizing vortex lattice method, panel method (XFLR, OpenVSP). - Desirable exposure to programming software like Matlab and Python.
