Engineer-Business Intelligence

Role Overview: As a Business Intelligence Engineer at Innover with 5+ years of experience, you will be responsible for enterprise and/or hosted applications development, focusing on cloud application development, design, and implementation. Your role will involve working with various types of databases and developing web-based reporting & analytics applications. Key Responsibilities: - Designing and implementing product enhancements for reporting-based applications - Developing reports using TIBCO Jaspersoft and ETL (SQL, PySpark) - Collaborating with internal customers, developers, Quality Assurance, and Business System Analysts - Participating in project/work planning sessions to analyze requirements and contribute to their creation - Developing and integrating applications per specification and translating technical requirements into application code - Approaching development work with a DevOps and continuous integration mindset - Ensuring consistency with cloud architectural guiding principles for assigned projects - Developing prototype or "proof of concept" implementations for projects with unknown technical solutions - Proactively identifying and solving problems, providing/receiving feedback, and assisting in correcting software performance bottlenecks - Working in a collaborative agile team environment with technology staff across various locations - Providing technical expertise, conducting peer code reviews, and assisting in work breakdown and story planning Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience - Minimum 2 years of experience in developing reports, views, summarizations, and dashboards using Reporting tools such as SAP BO, Tableau, Cognos, PowerBI, TIBCO Jaspersoft - Experience in ETL development using technologies like Informatica, Hadoop, Spark - Willingness to learn TIBCO Jaspersoft report development - Additional technical skills such as experience in Java, spring framework, object-oriented design methodologies, AI tools, and building cloud native applications would be a value-add - Strong analytical design and trouble-shooting skills - Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences Note: The company, Innover, is focused on helping clients embrace digital transformation and drive unique outstanding experiences through its integrated Digital Experiences, Data & Insights, and Digital Operations studios.
