Energy Estimation Engineer

Role Overview: You will be joining the India office of DESRI as a part of the Design and Engineering team. Your primary responsibility will involve working on detailed PV plant designing of utility-scale projects with a focus on production optimization and analytics. You will collaborate with teams in the U.S. and Hyderabad, as well as external parties, within a dynamic and inclusive environment that values collaboration and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: - Work on detailed PV plant designing of utility-scale projects, focusing on production optimization and analytics - Provide suggestions and inputs to optimize production by studying the layout - Simulate energy yield using PVSyst or similar tools, analyze energy yield based on various combinations of plant components - Assess the impact of different weather parameters, topo, shading, and other constraints on energy production estimation Qualifications: - Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Electrical Engineering with 4 years of experience OR Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Renewable/Solar Energy/Power Systems with 2 years of relevant experience in utility-scale power projects - Proficiency in PVSyst or similar software, Python, and advanced MS Excel - Sound knowledge of AC/DC electrical power systems - Ability to communicate conclusions through well-structured presentations and data visualizations - Proficiency in SQL, data analytics, and data visualization tools such as Power BI - Excellent knowledge of solar weather data analysis, data analytics skills, knowledge in IEC and NEC codes and standards, experience in commissioning of solar plants, and field experience,
