Endoscopy Technician

As an Endoscopy Technician at Sunrise Hospital Pala in Kerala, your role involves preparing endoscopy rooms, assisting physicians and nurses during procedures, maintaining equipment, ensuring patient safety, managing supplies, and complying with hospital safety protocols. Your key responsibilities include: - Prepare endoscopy rooms and ensure all equipment is functioning properly before procedures. - Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, and bronchoscopy. - Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopic instruments following hospital protocols and infection control standards. - Maintain accurate records of scope usage, reprocessing logs, and equipment maintenance. - Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing assistance in positioning. - Manage inventory of endoscopy supplies and communicate stock requirements to supervisors. - Ensure compliance with hospital safety protocols, including NABH or JCI standards where applicable. - Support troubleshooting of minor equipment malfunctions and escalate issues as necessary. Qualifications and Requirements: - Diploma or certification in Endoscopy Technology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field. - Minimum of 6 months of experience in endoscopy procedures. - Knowledge of scope handling, disinfection procedures, and biomedical safety. - Strong understanding of infection control practices and principles of patient care. - Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
