Embedded Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. You must be having hands-on in writing embedded C code on any Linux/Windows platform for this hardware product.

2. Design or understanding of electronic circuit designs, schematics and bringing up new hardware. Design and develop standalone firmware and bootloaders.

3. Port operating systems to new hardware platforms.

4. Designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging firmware and system software in resource constrained environments.

5. Analyzing and enhancing efficiency, stability and scalability of firmware and system resources.

6. Electronics circuit design and / or strong understanding and interpretation capability of electronic circuits and systems.

7. Usage of electronic test and measurement systems (DMM, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers, etc)

8. Solid understanding of computing systems architecture and fundamental operating principals (CPU, interrupts, Timers, MMU, GPIO, DMA, UARTs and various I/O devices)

9. Strong C programming capability and understanding of Assembly language

10. Strong understanding of communication protocols and programming of related hardware (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, RS485, etc)

11. Usage of software debugging tools (JTAG, ICE, etc)

12. Board bring-up

13. Understanding of Source code control techniques / code reviews (Ex. GIT, GERRIT)

14. Programming of operating system device drivers and middleware systems

15. Basic understanding of database systems

16. Being able to understand and relate technology integration scenarios and be able to apply these learnings in complex troubleshooting scenarios.

17. Implement solutions in the hardware and embedded software areas, as per the specifications and architecture.

18. Come up with designs and solutions for technical problems.

19. Design and implement software solutions for interfacing with hardware components.

Preferred candidate profile

a. Bachelors / Masters degree in Electrical / Electronics / Medical electronics engineering.

4+ years of industry experience in concept to delivery of embedded devices design and development preferably in medical devices industry.
