Job Title : Sr. Manager – Purchase Department : Procurement & Supply Chain Location : Marol Mumbai. Reporting to : General Manager / Director – Operations Industry : Fire Protection / MEP Services / Engineering Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager – Purchase to lead our procurement operations with a strong technical background in mechanical engineering and firefighting systems. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of sourcing, vendor development, negotiation, cost control, and materials management, specifically related to fire protection, Detection, Suppression and MEP projects. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor procurement strategies aligned with company goals. Source and procure materials, equipment, and services related to mechanical and firefighting systems, Fire Detection, Fire Suppression, Prevention Fire Protection System Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers for best commercial advantage. Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid project delays. Evaluate supplier performance and build a robust and reliable vendor base. Coordinate with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure material compliance. Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement activities. Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and compliance. Using of ERP & AI Tools for procurement process. Ensure adherence to statutory, legal, and safety compliance in the procurement process. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering (Mandatory) Certification or training in firefighting systems or procurement will be an added advantage. Experience: 10+ years of experience in procurement/purchase. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in handling procurement for firefighting or MEP projects . Proven experience in vendor development and project-based purchasing. Key Skills: Strong knowledge of fire fighting equipment and related standards (IS, NFPA, etc.) Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Familiar with ERP / Purchase / Project Management software. Strategic sourcing and cost control. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Collaborate with internal departments— engineering, procurement, and execution teams —to ensure high client satisfaction.
