Elevator Technician

As an Elevator Service and Maintenance Technician at S&G Elevator Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of elevators across various residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of service for our clients. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Routine Maintenance:** Perform regular maintenance tasks such as inspection, lubrication, and adjustment of elevator components to optimize performance and safety. - **Repairs:** Diagnose and repair elevator malfunctions, including electrical and mechanical issues. Replace defective parts as necessary. - **Safety Compliance:** Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety regulations and standards, following company and industry safety protocols. - **Customer Service:** Deliver exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with clients, addressing their concerns, and providing professional advice on system performance and maintenance. - **Documentation:** Keep detailed records of service activities, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance. Submit accurate service reports as required. - **Emergency Response:** Respond promptly to emergency service calls, working efficiently to minimize downtime and restore service quickly. **Qualifications:** - **Education:** ITI or equivalent; technical training or certification in elevator technology is preferred. B.E./B.Tech degree holders are not eligible. - **Experience:** Demonstrated experience in elevator maintenance and repair. Familiarity with various elevator systems and knowledge of elevator brands and control panels are advantageous. - **Skills:** Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, proficiency in using diagnostic tools, and equipment. - **Certifications:** Possession of a valid elevator technician license or certification is preferred. Additional certifications related to safety and electrical systems are a bonus. - **Physical Requirements:** Ability to work in the field, lift shaft, and perform physically demanding tasks. Comfortable working at heights. - **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professionalism in interactions with clients and team members. - **Problem-Solving:** Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
