Electronics Technician

As an Arcade Game Technician at our location in Reliance Mall, Nagercoil, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our assortment of amusement games. Your strong foundational understanding of electronics and troubleshooting skills will be put to use in a dynamic and enjoyable environment. Key Responsibilities: - Diagnosis and Repair: Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on various arcade and amusement games, such as video games, pinball machines, and redemption games. - Electronics Application: Utilize basic knowledge of electrical circuits, power components, and wiring to diagnose game faults effectively. This includes using tools like a multimeter to test voltage, continuity, and resistance. - Mechanical Maintenance: Address physical and mechanical issues by cleaning components, replacing damaged parts (e.g., control buttons, joysticks, monitors), and ensuring the smooth operation of motors and dispensers. - Component Repair (Trained): Initially focusing on module-level replacement, the role may involve learning component-level repair (e.g., soldering, PCB diagnostics) under supervision. - Documentation: Accurately document all repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities to aid in inventory management and tracking game performance. - Guest Focus: Ensure all games are operational, clean, and safe for guests, prioritizing quick turnaround on inoperable machines. Required Qualifications: - Foundational Electronics Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of basic electrical principles (AC/DC, current, voltage, resistance) and the ability to interpret simple electrical diagrams or schematics. - Technical Aptitude: Proven ability to safely and effectively use basic hand tools and electronic testing equipment like a multimeter. - Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to follow logical diagnostic procedures. - Attitude: Must be a proactive self-starter with a strong desire to learn about complex, specialized arcade equipment. - Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift components weighing up to 50 lbs, and work flexibly to access game internals. Preferred Qualifications: - Any prior experience in maintenance, repair, or technical troubleshooting, regardless of industry.
