Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for creating and integrating electrical and electronic hardware essential to Cummins products. Your role will involve developing and validating electronic sensors, actuators, control units, harnesses, wiring practices, or control systems to ensure the consistent operation of Cummins" products in various customer applications. Key Responsibilities: - Investigate electronic hardware problems, recommend appropriate action, own problem resolution, and document results. - Apply and improve electronic hardware development processes and tools, including problem-solving techniques, hardware development process familiarity, and requirements analysis. - Apply design methods such as worst-case analysis, circuit simulation, DFMEA/PFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), schematic capture, and Specification Compliance Matrix. - Collaborate with electronic suppliers to deliver prototype hardware to application engineering teams. - Make decisions regarding hardware requirements, design, and validation tests to impact unit cost, functionality, and prototype delivery. - Review work from less-experienced developers/testers to ensure robust, reusable, and efficient design. - Lead smaller business impact projects or own complex components, products, systems, or services with accountability to the project team. - Execute and improve established and emerging work processes and systems while developing technology or product knowledge. - Lead the development and improvement of work processes and systems within a business unit site. - Coordinate and direct work among technicians and temporary student employees, assisting in knowledge transfer to less-experienced engineers. - Provide support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and develop proficiency in critical competency areas. - Operate as a recognized specialist in a discipline or product area within the immediate team. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. - Proven experience in electronic hardware development and validation. - Strong knowledge of design methods and tools such as worst-case analysis, circuit simulation, and FMEA. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to lead projects and work effectively in a team environment.,
