Electronic Data Interchange Business Analyst

Role Overview: As an experienced EDI Business Analyst with 4 to 10 years of experience, your role will involve analyzing, managing, and optimizing EDI transactions within logistics and supply chain operations. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth data exchanges between systems, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing errors. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and implement EDI processes for logistics and supply chain transactions. - Maintain and support the integration of EDI systems between internal systems and external business partners. - Oversee the technical setup and testing of EDI messages (e.g., orders, invoices, shipping notices, etc.). - Work closely with logistics, supply chain, and IT teams to understand business needs and define EDI requirements. - Map business processes to EDI requirements, ensuring accurate and real-time data flows between systems. - Assist in gathering functional and technical requirements for new EDI initiatives. - Identify and resolve EDI-related issues, providing solutions for data transmission errors or system discrepancies. - Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and customers to troubleshoot and address EDI issues. - Ensure timely resolution of critical EDI issues impacting supply chain and logistics operations. - Perform end-to-end testing of EDI transactions to validate successful integration and communication. - Monitor EDI transmissions to ensure proper execution, identifying and correcting any disruptions. - Assist in testing and validating new EDI trading partners and formats. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 4 to 10 years of experience as an EDI Business Analyst in logistics and supply chain operations. - Strong understanding of EDI processes and standards. - Proficiency in mapping business processes to EDI requirements. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Experience in troubleshooting and resolving EDI-related issues. - Knowledge of testing and validating EDI transactions and trading partners.
