Electrician – Construction Department

Job Summary The Electrician will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a shipbuilding and construction environment. This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 2year of experience who are eager to learn and develop technical skills under the guidance of senior staff. The Electrician will work on cable laying, electrical fittings, and basic maintenance tasks while following safety procedures and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and Maintenance

→ Assist in conduit and cable laying inside vessels.
→ Help with installation and connection of electrical systems in vessels.→ Support termination work under supervision.→ Assist in routine maintenance operations on board vessels.→ Help maintain and repair electrical tools, equipment, and switchboards.

• Interpretation and Learning

→ Learn to read and understand basic electrical drawings
→ Support the team in identifying and reporting any electrical issues.→ Follow guidance from supervisors to carry out assigned tasks efficiently.

• Safety and Compliance

→ Follow all safety protocols while working with electrical systems.
→ Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.→ Report hazards and unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.

• Collaboration and Support

→ Work closely with senior electricians and supervisors.
→ Assist in preparing work areas and organizing tools/materials.→ Keep work records and update supervisors on task completion.

Requirements

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical (mandatory).

• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.

• Basic understanding of electrical tools and wiring (training will be provided).

• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.

• Willingness to work in a shipbuilding and construction environment.

Salary Range: ₹18,000 to ₹22,000 per month (Accommodation provided by company).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month

• Cherthala, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
