Job Description

Role & responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems, motors, panels, lighting, and plant machinery. Diagnose and repair faults in wiring, circuits, control systems, and processing equipment. Install, test, and commission new electrical systems or equipment as per plant requirements. Ensure proper functioning of control panels, PLC systems, sensors, and automation equipment. Maintain and update electrical drawings, maintenance logs, and service records. Monitor and maintain power supply systems including transformers, switchgear, UPS, and generators. Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes (including food industry hygiene and safety standards). Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns and restore operations with minimal disruption. Collaborate with the mechanical maintenance team for integrated equipment maintenance. Manage spare parts inventory and requisition replacements when necessary. Key Skills & Qualifications: ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a food or FMCG manufacturing plant. Sound knowledge of electrical systems, industrial automation, and food-grade equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and SCADA systems. Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food industry safety standards is preferred. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Willingness to work in shifts or during emergency breakdowns.
