Electrical Engineer - Summer Intern

Role Overview: As an EE Summer Intern at Skyworks, you will be part of the timing business R&D team in the MSS division. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting technologies that drive wired and wireless connectivity globally. The projects you will be involved in include new product definition, chip bring-up, validation, creating FPGA IPs, and co-developing solutions for various applications. This internship will provide you with a fast-paced environment that encourages creative thinking and collaboration with a focus on making meaningful contributions. Key Responsibilities: - Work on a development flow with tools like EMX, HFSS for modeling, design tools like Vivado, Virtuoso, OrCAD, PCB tools like PADS, Hyperlynx, or lab work using Python, Matlab, Visual Basic, C# for system design and validation. - Complete necessary training required for the project, such as CAD tool or lab training. - Execute the intern project under the guidance of a mentor and collaborate with the team on a daily basis. - Solve key mixed-signal problems through analysis, simulation, and lab debugging. - Set up and conduct periodic reviews of the project for feedback from leadership. Qualifications Required: - Graduate/undergraduate student focusing on an EE major with strong fundamentals in linear time-invariant systems, Laplace and Fourier Transforms. - Solid understanding of feedback control theory, circuit and network analysis, synthesis, and digital/analog circuit design fundamentals. - Exposure to SPICE, Verilog/VHDL, verification, and simulation tools is preferred. - Working knowledge of programming languages like C/C++, VB, or Python is preferred. - Understanding of circuit systems like RF front-end systems, PLLs, ADCs, and/or DACs would be a plus.
