Electrical Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing professional electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and testing in support of electrical systems and/or power distribution and generation.
• Work with a multidisciplinary engineering design team: electrical, mechanical, software/firmware, technical support, productivity engineers, and suppliers, on design, modification.
• Creates electrical schematics and system based on requirements and creates/releases engineering drawings & bill of materials.

• Maintain and develop process checkpoints to ensure adherence to design standards & schedules and work with leadership peers to drive process improvements as necessary.

• Learn Products, PDR processes & DFMEA principles and Owns PDR tasks/Simple sub-system/medium complex CIP/Medium complex designs using appropriate project management tools.
• Outstanding analysis and proven trouble-shooting skills and ability to drive functional requirements & execute in a dynamic team environment.

• Update stakeholders on deliverables & timelines including Global stakeholders.

Mandatory skills and experience required to perform the job:

• Proficient in concept design and Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation required.
• Understanding of cable harness, Electrical Modules manufacturing, assembly and testing.
• Working experience in electronic/Electrical circuit design and development like AUTOCAD, ORCAD, Zuken E3.
• Familiar with different design standards and compliances like NEC, NFPA, UL 508, IEC standard, IPC 620/CID, SEMI Standard (Electrical).
• Excellent communication, and presentation skills to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, internal and external partners.

Desirable Skill:

• Experience with capital equipment, Electrical control/Power box or similar (for e.g., process industries, aircraft, Robotics etc.) ideally in a sub-system/module design.
• Experience in selection of components and supplier management.
• In laboratory environment, setting up electrical boards for development and testing.
• Knowledge about Change Management and Robotics & Robotics preferred.
• Knowledge of power distribution and power control system of systems.
• Strong organization skills and experience of working in cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
