Electrical Engineer

Job Description: As an Electrical Engineer at Northern Tool, you will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical engineering activities based on the provided scope of work. Your tasks will involve owning and maintaining the design, components, and assemblies utilizing Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) techniques to minimize product cost through design and process improvements. Additionally, you will be creating specifications, conducting preliminary design reviews, and participating in critical design reviews to ensure the quality and efficiency of the electrical systems. Key Responsibilities: - Develop electrical system test requirements and determine optimal component and wire harness design for overall design, performance, and cost compliance. - Identify the nature and type of CAD models, detail drawings, and analyses needed to support the design process and oversee their release through the cycle. - Generate concept sketches on paper and create detailed part designs, models, and drawings using Creo software. - Lead and participate in design reviews to ensure comprehensive input and involvement from all relevant groups. - Evaluate designs using engineering calculations, material behavior principles, and design analysis tools to ensure Design to Cost (DTC) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) compliance. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. - Proficiency in Creo software for designing electrical components. - Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles. - Experience in conducting design reviews and implementing engineering calculations. - Knowledge of wire harness design and CAD modeling for electrical systems.,
