Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at Ace Green Recycling, Inc., you will play a crucial role in designing and preparing electrical drawings and documentation to support sustainable end-of-life solutions for battery recycling. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Control Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, Cable Schedules, and Termination Details. - Performing electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and protection coordination according to standards. - Specifying electrical equipment such as motors, VFDs, and control panels. - Collaborating with the electrolyzer design team to develop and optimize electrical systems. - Developing electrical layouts in coordination with process and mechanical teams. - Preparing equipment datasheets, technical specifications, and supporting vendor selection. - Ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (IEC / IS / NEC). - Coordinating with panel fabricators and vendors during manufacturing, testing, and inspection. - Supporting installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems at the site. - Conducting testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation of electrical circuits and control panels. - Contributing to energy efficiency initiatives and system upgrades to enhance plant performance. - Maintaining proper documentation, drawing revisions, and as-built records. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. - 9+ years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical design, preferably in process, manufacturing, or recycling industries. - Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent 2D drafting software. - Good understanding of industrial power systems, motor control centers, and control panel design. - Knowledge of cable sizing, load distribution, protection schemes, and grounding systems. - Familiarity with PLC-based systems, instrumentation interfaces, and electrical interlocks. - Knowledge of industrial wiring practices, installation methods, and safety regulations. - Understanding of hazardous area classifications and earthing systems in chemical or metallurgical environments. - Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to manage multiple design deliverables independently.
