Electrical Draftsman

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Design Engineer with 2 years of experience specializing in the design and development of electrical systems for commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes and standards, a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a passion for delivering innovative and efficient electrical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Drafting:
• Develop detailed electrical designs, including power distribution, lighting layouts, and low-voltage systems for commercial and residential buildings.
• Create and review single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, panel schedules, and other electrical schematics.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software to produce accurate and high-quality construction drawings.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and local electrical codes (e.g., NEC), as well as industry standards and client specifications.
• Project Management & Coordination:
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical designs with other building systems.
• Conduct site visits to gather information, assess existing conditions, and verify design implementation.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and bid documents.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
• Calculations and Analysis:
• Perform electrical calculations, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and fault current analysis.
• Select appropriate electrical equipment and materials (e.g., transformers, generators, panels, and circuit breakers) based on project requirements and calculations.
• Analyze energy efficiency and recommend sustainable and cost-effective solutions.
• Technical Support & Documentation:
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing RFI's (Requests for Information) and resolving design issues.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and as-built drawings.
• Stay updated on new technologies, products, and industry trends to continuously improve design practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
