Job Description

As an Application Engineer in the Order Engineering Team, you will be responsible for various tasks including layout and configuration of switchgear, designing control schemes using PLCs and/or relays for automated transfer operations, creating electrical drawings and diagrams using AutoCAD, designing ground fault protective schemes, generating bills of material, and modifying standard assemblies to suit specific applications. Your role will also involve interpreting customer requirements, ensuring assignments are within design, budget, and schedule limitations, and communicating project concerns and suggestions with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager. You will participate in proposal acceptance reviews, offer recommendations for improvement, and provide virtual technical support for the shop floor for the orders engineered. Flexibility in working hours, including shift support for the United States SE-shop floor, may be required with minimal travel. The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer relation skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to interpret various types of engineering drawings. Working effectively in a virtual environment and as part of a multicultural team is essential. Preferred competencies include knowledge of low voltage switchboard/switchgear design, experience with AutoCAD, familiarity with relays and their functions, and understanding of UL standards such as UL1558 and UL891. Qualifications required for this position are a Diploma with at least 1 year of experience or a BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. The primary location for this role is in Bangalore, Karnataka, with a full-time schedule and an ongoing unposting date.,
