Electrical Designer - S3D

You are a Senior Electrical Designer with expertise in SP3D and a solid foundation in Oil & Gas projects, encompassing both onshore and offshore domains. Your primary responsibility entails developing intricate 3D electrical models, crafting construction deliverables, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards throughout the project lifecycle. In this role, you will be tasked with managing and developing 3D electrical models using SP3D, encompassing equipment layout, cable tray routing, lighting, earthing, and instrument interfaces. It is crucial to generate accurate and clash-free layouts and routing designs while collaborating with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation disciplines. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and verifying electrical design deliverables like cable tray layouts, lighting and power layouts, grounding plans, material take-offs, and support details. Your collaboration with electrical engineers is pivotal to interpret and integrate design inputs, SLDs, and equipment specifications into the 3D model. It is essential to conduct model reviews, clash detection activities, and ensure consistency across design deliverables. Furthermore, maintaining drawing and document control as per project standards and procedures is integral to the role. Your support will also be required during construction and installation phases by addressing technical queries and providing redline markups and as-built drawings. Qualifications & Skills: - Possession of a degree in Electrical Engineering or Drafting Technology. - A minimum of 11-15 years of experience as an Electrical Designer in Oil & Gas projects. - Proficiency in SP3D is mandatory; familiarity with Smart Sketch, AutoCAD, or MicroStation is advantageous. - Sound comprehension of electrical design principles and industrial standards such as IEC, NEC, API. - Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and considerations related to Ex equipment layout. - Strong attention to detail, proactive coordination abilities, and adeptness in working within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
