Electrical Design Engineer - SPM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electrical Drafting Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and comprehensive electrical drawings and schematics using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. The role requires proficiency in drafting techniques, a strong understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical System Design:

• Designing and developing electrical systems for Special Purpose Machinery, considering safety, efficiency, and functionality.
• Schematic Creation: Generate detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.

Component Selection:

• Selecting appropriate electrical components, such as sensors, actuators, PLCs, and other control devices, based on project requirements.

Collaboration

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall machinery design.

Compliance:

• Ensuring that electrical designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Testing and Validation:

• Conducting testing and validation of electrical systems to verify functionality, reliability, and safety.

Troubleshooting:

• Identify and resolve electrical design issues through systematic troubleshooting and collaboration with other engineering disciplines.

Documentation:

• Creating comprehensive documentation for electrical designs, including manuals and technical specifications.

GENERAL / EXTERNAL

Preffered Skills:

• Familiarity with electrical design principles and systems.
• Proficiency in using CAD software for electrical drafting (AutoCAD, Eplan,SolidWorks Electrical, etc.).
• Strong understanding of electrical symbols, codes, and standards.
• Experience in drafting for power distribution, control panels, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Strong project management skills to plan, organize, and execute within specified timelines and budgets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with automation and control systems.

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering ,Diploma in Electrical or a related field.
