Job Summary

The Maintenance and Electrical Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all maintenance and electrical activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment, machinery, and facilities. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, electrical systems management, compliance with safety standards, and leading the maintenance team to minimize downtime and improve productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Management

• Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize breakdowns and downtime.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, checklists, and schedules.
• Analyse equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions.
• Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance tools.

Electrical Systems & Compliance

• Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems (HT/LT panels, motors, drives, transformers, generators, UPS, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing of electrical equipment.
• Coordinate with external agencies, inspectors, and vendors for electrical works.

Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and supervise maintenance and electrical technicians.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure skill development of team members.
• Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.

Safety & Quality

• Ensure adherence to safety procedures, LOTO, PPE usage, and safe work practices.
• Investigate accidents or near misses and implement preventive measures.
• Support quality, environmental, and energy-saving initiatives.

Budgeting & Reporting

• Prepare and control maintenance budgets and cost optimization plans.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports.
• Provide regular reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance .

Qualifications

• Bachelors /Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Relevant certification/license as per local electrical regulations (preferred).

Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in maintenance and electrical management (industry-dependent).
• Strong experience with industrial electrical systems and maintenance planning.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and preventive maintenance practices.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of safety standards and statutory compliance.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance software (preferred).
