E&I Maintenance Engineer
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment, and instrumentation within the Bio-CNG plant. The role ensures the reliable operation of electrical infrastructure, minimizes downtime, and ensures safety and compliance with industry standards.
1. Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, including HT & LT power distribution, control panels, motor starters, transformers, and instrumentation items like LT, PT, PG, LG, PLC systems.
2. Formulate, implement and adhere to preventive maintenance schedules for electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure performance and desired life of equipment.
3. Diagnose electrical faults and perform Preventive and breakdown maintenance & repairs to minimize plant downtime.
4. Monitor and maintain PLCs, SCADA systems, sensors, and instrumentation used for process control.
5. Ensure all electrical work complies with national safety standards, electrical codes, and plant safety protocols.
6. Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
7. Assist erection team in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment, systems, and upgrades.
8. Identify areas of improvement.
9. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, electrical drawings, equipment manuals, and operating / repair logs.
10. Supervise and coordinate with technicians and other maintenance personnel for efficient operation and emergency repairs.
11. Identify opportunities for process and efficiency improvements in electrical systems.
12. Monitor auxiliary power consumption and find areas for saving the power cost.
B.E./B. Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
3-7 years in electrical maintenance, experience in biogas, waste-to-energy, or similar plants will be preferred.
Knowledge of electrical codes, standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.).
Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and control systems.
Troubleshooting skills for electrical faults and system failures.
Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
Good communication and team working ability.
Demonstrate CLOCC behaviors
Experience with renewable energy or biogas plants.
Certifications in electrical safety (e.g., NFPA, NEBOSH).
Knowledge of automation and process control.
The role involves working in industrial plant conditions, often with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Emergency repairs may require working outside regular hours.
