PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop compliance plan and coordinate with government agencies for required Environment and safety permits. Submit returns to the government agencies. Work with project team and provide technical expertise in development of regulatory documentation and upload in required websites. Provide technical expertise in review of schematic designs in compliance with fire NOC, NBC, NFPA, PESO and other local codes Provide expertise in design review of ZLD, STP, bulk storage of chemicals, Scrubbers and abatement systems Develop and implement JHAs, LOTO, electrical safety, environmental programs for Applied Materials India sites. Professionally interface with internal and external customers Responsible for keeping track of update in regulations in India for function, develop gap analysis and work with site EHS leads for closure. Respond to any internal and external audits and inspections from third party, regulatory agencies. Work closely with government agencies to reply on query received. Responsible for submitting application for fire NOC, CFO, CFE, EPR, PESO, AERB and DoF Provide technical guidance on operation and maintenance of fire and gas alarm system Provide technical guidance in installation of flammable, pyrophoric and toxic gas pipelines Provide technical and EHS program training to employees, contractors and service providers Implement Applied or ISO EHS Management system Required Qualifications Candidates must have B. tech Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or chemical Occasional travel 25%. Strong program management and execution skills (Required) Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Required) Minimum 7-9years work experience EHS field Safety officer from certified college (Preferred) Discipline to solve complex problems, with the ability to resolve issues and drive solutions that create win-win situations Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to navigate complex organizations Successfully complete physical examination as specified by Applied Materials prior to any offer (Required) Familiarity with Hazardous materials response Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) levels of protection (required). Hazmat Technician or Fire Department Firefighter I (Preferred). Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment or equivalent high hazard environment (Preferred). Background and training in chemistry, toxic gas systems and wastewater, also familiarity with chemical hazard classes for common gases and liquids (Preferred). Experience conducting formal inspections, e.g., hazardous materials or safety equipment (Preferred) ***Due to 24/7 schedule, you may be required to work off-hours and weekends or called in for emergency incidents.
