EHS Officer (Solar Projects)

Role Purpose

The EHS Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of EHS practices at solar project sites to ensure safe working conditions and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement EHS policies and procedures at solar project sites.
• Monitor day-to-day safety activities for solar installation works.
• Ensure safe practices during:
• Panel/module installation
• Electrical works & cable management
• Work at height and lifting operations
• Conduct daily site inspections and safety rounds.
• Enforce usage of PPE and safe work permits.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions for workers.
• Report unsafe acts/conditions and assist in incident investigations.
• Maintain safety records, checklists, permits, and registers.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure EHS compliance.
• Support emergency response and mock drills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Science.
• Diploma in Industrial Safety (mandatory).
• 3–6 years of EHS experience, with minimum 1–2 years in Solar Projects.
• Experience in EPC / construction / renewable energy projects preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Good understanding of EHS regulations and site safety practices.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and solar project activities.
• Strong observation, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work at remote project sites.
