Job Description

Implement and monitor
EHS policies, SOPs, and procedures
as per regulatory guidelines (GMP, OSHA, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001).
Conduct
risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and safety audits
across plant operations.
Ensure
compliance with environmental regulations
(Pollution Control Board norms, Hazardous Waste, Effluent Treatment, Air & Water Act).
Coordinate and monitor
safety permits
(hot work, confined space, electrical work, height work, etc.).
Conduct
incident/accident investigations
, root cause analysis, and implement CAPA.
Train employees on
EHS awareness, emergency preparedness, fire safety, and safe work practices
.
Maintain and update
EHS documentation, records, and statutory compliance reports
.
Liaise with
regulatory authorities
during inspections and audits.
Support in
sustainability initiatives
like energy conservation, waste reduction, and green practices.
Ensure availability and proper usage of
PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment)
across departments.
Drive a
safety culture
by actively engaging shop-floor employees, contractors, and cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of
pharma manufacturing operations & regulatory requirements
.
Familiarity with
GxP environment
and compliance standards.
Good communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and problem-solving ability in handling safety & environment-related issues.
Proficiency in
MS Office, SAP (EHS module preferred)
, and report preparation.

Required : Pharma Industry Experience is Mandatory.
