Job Title: Consultant Education Reform PMU Location: Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh Service Line- Government & Public Sector Sub Service Line- Education Practice About E&S Team This shift has bought about an increased requirement of digital assets, infrastructure, upskilling of teachers and content. With the requirement of tech-enabled learning solutions to only accelerate further, the Government is laying down new frameworks and adopting an even more holistic and futuristic approach towards education and skill development. The education and skill development practice of KPMG in India comprises a team of experienced professionals delivering forward-looking advisory services across the spectrum, such as K-12 education including Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), foundational literacy and numeracy skills, Technical and Vocational Education, and Training (TVET), higher education, education technology, and supplementary education. About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Consultant to join our Education Project Management Unit (PMU) in Vijayawada. The role involves supporting large-scale education reform initiatives in partnership with state education departments. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise, experience in government systems, and a passion for improving education outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support implementation of education reform projects in collaboration with SSA, SCERT, and Samagra Shiksha. Develop project strategies, monitoring frameworks, and cadence structures for effective execution. Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Monitor field-level implementation and evaluate project outcomes using predefined indicators. Engage with stakeholders across state, district, and mandal levels to ensure alignment and coordination. Contribute to system transformation projects at the state or national level. Provide technical inputs on curriculum design, assessments, teacher training, and ToT initiatives. Support data-driven decision-making through analysis of education data. Required Qualifications & Experience: Education: Masters degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Work, or MBA. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, or Engineering. Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in project management and education sector initiatives. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, team coordination, and budget planning. Prior work in government ecosystems at various administrative levels. Experience in Andhra Pradesh and fluency in Telugu is highly preferred. Skills & Competencies: Strong report writing and documentation skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project monitoring tools. Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work independently. Familiarity with NEP 2020 and Samagra Shiksha schemes. Preferred Attributes: Experience working on state/national level education transformation projects. Exposure to curriculum design, assessments, and capacity-building programs. Understanding of education department structures and functions.
