As an Education Counselor Specialist, you will play a crucial role in guiding students who aspire to study abroad in the UK, Australia, Canada, or the USA. Your main responsibilities will include providing personalized counseling to students, assisting with university applications, offering visa guidance, maintaining relationships with universities, conducting information sessions, staying updated on market insights, and supporting the marketing team with inputs. Your primary focus will be on helping students select courses, universities, and countries that align with their academic background, interests, and career goals. You will also be responsible for explaining entry requirements, application processes, and timelines for universities in the target countries. In addition to student counseling, you will support students in completing application documentation and submission processes. You will also assist them in understanding and preparing for visa application requirements for each destination country. Maintaining strong relationships with university representatives will be crucial, as you will need to stay updated on program offerings, scholarships, and application deadlines. Furthermore, you will conduct workshops, webinars, and one-on-one sessions to educate students and parents about studying abroad, while also participating in education fairs, events, and seminars. To excel in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in a relevant field, along with 2-3 years of experience as an Education Counselor or in a similar role. A deep understanding of admission requirements, education systems, and visa processes for the target countries is essential. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are also necessary, along with proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. Preferred skills include multilingual abilities, familiarity with scholarships and funding options, and experience in digital counseling platforms or online education fairs.
