Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Review and accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for emergency department encounters.
Ensure coding compliance with current federal regulations and payer guidelines.
Validate documentation and query providers when necessary to clarify discrepancies.
Maintain productivity and quality standards as defined by the department.
Stay current with coding changes, especially related to ED services.

Requirements:

At least
1 year of experience
in ED coding
Solid understanding of ED coding guidelines and facility vs. professional coding distinctions
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
