The ECHO Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in evaluating the function and structure of the heart. The technician ensures high-quality imaging, patient comfort, and accurate reporting in accordance with established protocols.
* Perform 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and Color Flow echocardiographic studies as per physician requests.
* Assist cardiologists during stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and other cardiac imaging procedures.
* Prepare and position patients for the procedure while explaining the process clearly.* Operate and maintain echocardiography machines and related equipment in good working condition.* Record and store images, ensuring completeness and accuracy of patient data.* Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret results.* Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and follow hospital/clinic protocols.* Ensure infection control and proper sanitization of equipment after every use.* Participate in continuous training and stay updated with the latest echocardiography practices and technologies.
* Strong analytical and assessment skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and colleagues.* A holistic understanding of the Echo * The ability to motivate patients and encourage their involvement in their own care.
