Echo technician - Manipal Hospital, Mysore

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiographic procedures including:
• Transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
• Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
• Stress echocardiograms (exercise and pharmacologic)
• Operate ultrasound equipment and related systems to capture high-quality images
• Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and cooperation
• Maintain accurate patient records and document findings in accordance with facility policies
• Assist physicians in interpreting images and preparing diagnostic reports
• Ensure proper infection control, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment
• Participate in quality assurance and continuing education programs
• Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Echocardiography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience in echocardiography preferred
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Proficiency in ultrasound imaging techniques
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
