Job Summary We are looking for a passionate and skilled Kitchen Master to lead and manage the kitchen operations at SMS Café. The ideal candidate should have strong culinary knowledge, leadership qualities, and the ability to maintain food quality, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency. This role is crucial to maintaining consistency across our snacks, rice bowls, beverages, desserts, and innovative items. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure timely order preparation. Supervise kitchen staff, helpers, and cleaners, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently. Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control for all items. Train new kitchen team members on SOPs, recipes, hygiene, and equipment handling. Manage raw stock inventory, consumption, storage, and place purchase requests when needed. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards as per FSSAI norms. Minimize food wastage, spoilage, and pilferage. Collaborate with management to introduce new menu items or optimize existing ones. Handle basic maintenance of kitchen equipment and coordinate for repairs when needed. Report daily kitchen performance and challenges to the founder or operations head. Qualifications: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in QSR/café/cloud kitchen/hotel kitchens. Knowledge of snacks, rice varieties, fried items, desserts, and beverages preferred. Ability to work under pressure in high-demand environments. Good understanding of kitchen inventory management. Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene regulations. Skills Required: Leadership & team handling Recipe execution with consistency Time management & multitasking Cleanliness & discipline Quick decision-making Basic communication (English is a plus)
