Job Description: We're looking for a passionate and driven Founding Test Automation Engineer to join our early team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end quality assurance process and ensure we ship fast, reliable, high-quality features across our core products. Your work will directly impact user experiences on world-class brands and web applications. This isn't your typical 9-5 job. What You'll Do: Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright Build and scale E2E, API (frontend/backend), unit, and UI tests for full coverage Create and automate evaluation suites (evals) for AI-powered features to test accuracy and reliability Drive the automation strategy, ensuring full coverage and seamless CI/CD integration Leverage AI tools to automate test generation and improve efficiency Continuously improve our automation framework and testing best practices Work closely with developers and product managers to identify and squash bugs fast Clearly report issues and own them through resolution What You Bring: 3+ years of experience in frontend engineering or QA roles Strong, hands-on experience with Playwright (this is a must) Deep knowledge of E2E, API, UI, and unit testing methodologies Proficiency with web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines A sharp eye for edge cases and great debugging skills Passion for exploring and using AI tools in QA processes Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset A startup mentality: fast, focused, and flexible What Makes You a Great Fit: You thrive in ambiguity and fast-moving environments You take ownership and dont wait to be told what to do You work fast and push for results You're obsessed with growth and improvement You love breaking software to make it better You're energized by automating and innovating testing processes You're excited by the idea of applying AI to real-world engineering challenges You've stuck with a company long enough (2+ years) to see things through You've directly led or built significant Playwright-based test suites You've tested complex products with API and E2E flows You've either used or are ready to dive into AI tools for QA You prioritize speed over perfection and embrace iteration You simplify complex ideas clear thinking is your superpower You resolve conflicts with empathy and seek common ground You are humble, hungry, and hands-on Why Join Us?
